Why a Leaking Central Oregon Roof is Important to Fix ASAP

Although your roof may look okay from the surface, dark coloration or bulging pockets on your roof may mean a bigger issues beneath. If you begin to notice staining on your ceiling or even dripping on your floors, these are signs it may be time for immediate roof repair or replacement.

Water and Mold or Mildew

Your attic space is typically a dark environment that mold and mildew thrive in when damp. A leaking roof infiltrates your attic first and creates the perfect environment for mold growth to occur. By the time you notice water on your ceiling, mold has likely already begun to grow.

Wood Rot

Wood rot in your Central Oregon home is not always easy to spot, but when you find it, you will notice some white or yellow substance that looks stringy or spongey.

Water in Your Drywall

Damp drywall is one of the easiest ways to identify a possible issue with your roof. Damp drywall often appears discolored, bulging, sagging, and may even show some mildew growth. One thing is sure; if your drywall has been leaked into once, it will happen again if the source of the leak is not addressed.

Roof Failure

All of the above issues can lead to a much bigger issue of your roof failing if not addressed. Wood rotting can compromise the structure of your home and eventually could lead to roof collapse.

541 Roofing recently was able to participate in RoofLine Supply and Delivery's second annual "Faster Roofer" competition. Many local roofing companies competed in this Central Oregon Roofing event and your 541 Roofing Team was able to walk away with some prizes. We love the Bend Oregon roofing community and were proud to be able to compete against some wonderful roofers in Bend Oregon. Looking forward to next year!
